Wedding invites - how to word ?

Question

Have seen that most wedding invites are worded :

Parents of x

and

parents of y

Request the pleasure of your company at the wedding of

xx and yy

at x at this time etc etc

How do you word it if you aren’t having your parents names on the invite?

Any ideas ?

just put your own names on the invitation for example;

                         (your finace's name) and (your name) request the pleasure of your company at our wedding on (date) at (place).

My brother and his wife did this and even personalized it a bit by adding a few quotes and something like "we look forward to sharing this special time together as we unite our lives together in matrimony."

Answer 2

x and y request the pleasure of your company at their wedding on ...

x and y would be delighted to have you join them on their wedding on ...
