  1. I've been faced with this very issue, my wedding is coming up too!  If you play some Dean Martin and Bobby Darin, those have nice oldimitateed feels to them, an easy beat to dance to, and make people imitate swing.

If you want background music, Jack Johnson is a soothing music to settle into without being too noticable.  Here is a small list of background music.

    Guster - Satellite

    Howie Day - Collide

    Big Star - Thirteen

    Landon Pigg - Coffee Shop

    Tristan Prettyman - Hello

    Jason Mraz - I'm Yours

John Mayer - The Heart of Life

    Joshua Radin - Lovely Tonight

Nina Kinert - Through Your Eyes

    Derby - Jet Set

    I hope this helps!!

  2. My favorite love song is Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes." You might also want to play Bob Carlisle's "Butterfly Kisses" or "Sunrise, Sunset" from "Fiddler on the Roof" for the father-daughter dance. And make sure you have lots of fast-paced music (i.e. salsa) that everybody can bop along to easily!

  3. the song my sister had as her first dance was Iris by the goo goo dolls.

    and the chicken dance

    and umm...that song that's like

    "EVERY BODY DANCE NOW"

    lmao
