  1. I def think you should go for it! I looked at your photos and those are really nice, THEY LOOK LIKE POSTCARDS :D :O

  2. I think you have great talent! As for breaking into the biz, I would make a few calls and see if there are any photography classes in your area. You might be able to learn something new or brush up on other stuff as well as network with other photographers.

  3. Yes! I totally think you have talent. You should print some business cards and start handing them to anyone that you know. If you hapen to hear someone is having a wedding then hand then out. Good luck, I hope this works out for you.

  4. Hi,

I think your photographs are beautiful. I love your wedding photographs. They are photo-journalistic...telling a story in the image alone. Excellent work. That is my favorite style and I hired a photographer who worked in that style. I think many couples are choosing that route versus the traditional...you stand here...you stand there...although those are still necssary as well.

You definitely have talent that you should persue. I am not sure of how to get started...but my suggestions would be to...

    A) Put a portfolio together of different subjects, but focus on the weddings to show prospective clients.

    B) Put an ad on Craig's List/local paper etc advertising free or low cost wedding photography. Low cost or free will help you get references if the client is happy with your work. Once you are established you could start charging or raise your price.

    C) If you are shooting digital (most often these days) tell the client that they can have their shots put on disc and that you will not copyright. That way they can take the disc and make their own prints...so there is no cost to you.

    D) Even if you are doing it for free (at first) you should have some sort of contract with...date..time..place..expectations (how many photos) etc. What they get...for example disc with no proofs...or proofs and you will print for them...whatever.

    E) Dress professionally and all pro's have more than one camera...just in case.

You are talented...I hope you follow your dreams and don't give up. Good Luck.

  5. I think you should go for it!......your pics are great....

I'm not really sure what you need to do to get started...but I'd think a course in photography would be a good place to start.....and make a portfolio of pics you have taken......

and maybe try starting off smaller than weddings........see about getting a job taking school photos.........I see ads here all the time...and they train you......

every lil bit you can add to your portfolio and resume will help

maybe see if you can take pics for a fundraising calendar for some organization in your community.......

best thing is word of mouth...people don't know you or the quality of pics you take......try getting that out there...have friends and family talk you up to other friends

  6. 4 sure i think u should go for it
