  1. Cash or gift certificates is usually the way to go for long time couples or couples that already own a home and live together.  That way they can go out and buy what they need or save it for something they might really want in the future.  Nothing is worse than giving someone a useless gift, and this way they will get to get what they need or want.

  2. I think a gift certificate would be great that way they can go together to pick something out or go to dinner depending on what kind of gift certificate. Hope this Helps.

  3. Consider making a donation to a charity they care about in their name.

  4. Maybe the next time you are having a conversation with them just casually ask them what it is that they would like as a gift. If they don't have a gift registry anywhere they just give them a nice gift certificate.

It is nice of you to consider giving them a nice gift, but I wouldn't stress over it I'm sure they would just be happy with you attending the wonderful day. Good luck.

  5. The best gifts for people with everything are services (think massage certificates given a week before the wedding) and/or sentimental gifts (like charitable donations).

  6. do they have something for the honeymoon?

or you can just ask them what they would like...

get some ideas.. get them to make a list of things they would both enjoy. hopefully something will turn out great.

unless you can make a scrap book of them both?  lil book to remind themselves how much they love eachother.. o i find that soo cute. try that

    good luck:D

  7. First ask if they've registered anywhere. If they have, go to the store's website and check out stuff they want. I like to do something personal in addition to the registry item. For example when my boss had her shower she registerd for the cake pan at Crate and Barrel. She kept going on and on about how cute this cake pan was and how she hoped someone would get it for her. She was heartbroken when she checked her registry one day and saw that it was discontinued. Well, we happen to have a Crate and Barrel outlet store nearby and I found it there. Then I went through my recipe box and wrote down 2-3 different cake recipes that she could make with the pan. I bought a pack of recipe cards and gave her the rest of the blank cards. For her wedding I got her Costco membership. She was constantly going with her mom and using her membership. I bought her a chafing dish from there and put the membership in the card. She loved it!

For my stepson's wife's shower I bought her the electric griddle they registered for, but I also went to Williams and Sonoma and got them some gourmet pancake mixes and some cute pancake forms.

If they haven't registered for anything, think about their hobbies or things they like to do together. For example if they like sports, get them tickets to a game, or if they like hiking or camping get them a gift certificate to REI or a sporting goods store that sells equipment. if they like the theater get them tickets to a show.

Or you could get them something for their honeymoon. Say they're going to Hawaii, get them a beach bag and fill it with beach towels, sunblock, his and hers flipflops, stuff like that. If you want to spend a little more, call the hotel or resort where they're staying and see if you can get a gift certificate for them to use at a restaurant, golf or at the spa.

She's your best friend, so you probably know her pretty well. Think about some things that they both will like and be creative!
