what are some good finger food ideas hot or cold ?

Fruit bowls and use pretzel sticks for them to pick them up.Large olives stuffed with cheese.Pretzel sticks with chunks of cheese on them.Salad also goes well as finger foods.Hope this helps...

Bakeries know how many people a specific size cake will feed.  Youre really not gonna stretch it any further without appearing really really cheap.  Weddings dont usually have "finger foods" if its a buffet.  If you want them however, just suggest it to your caterer...he/she will make suggestions or tell you what they offer.  If youre trying to save money by making some things yourself, thats all well and good..so long as they look as good as they taste.  Also, youll have to set them on the guests' tables, otherwise youll need to pay for extra help to serve them.  Hot finger foods are too hard to keep warm...Id go with chesse platters, veggie platters/dip, shrimp cocktail,  freshly cut fruit tray, maybe a chocolate fountain with cut pineapples, strawberries, biscotti, bananas, etc for dipping.  Use your imagination.!

tea sandwiches: like ham salad, Benedictine, chicken salad. You could also do something with skewered fruit or veggies, or a kabob style dish with meat, poultry, or seafood.  Also look at some of your local area bakeries, or deli's. Hometown businesses sometimes will have great ideas, and knowing you are going local, sometimes will be a little wallet friendly, and very creative  when it comes to suggestions for buffet ideas.

Shrimp & Coctail sauce, mini egg-rolls, barbeque'd meatballs, stuffed mushrooms, pieces of pumpernickel with velveta cheese,ground meat and maple sausage, skewered fruits and vegi's, Mini sandwiches including cheeseburgers, taco's (soft and hard) and hamburgers, french fries, potato skins, onion rings, quesidillas, kiesh, giant cheese ball with crackers, cheese and meat tray, salsa and chips, chicken wings & tenders, bruchetta, deviled eggs, hard boiled eggs..... For desert brownies,cupcakes, mini cakes, cookies, cream puffs, eclaires, doughnuts, clotchki's!! Hope this helps!!!
