  2. Not without knowing what city and state or country you are in...

Sorry, I'm not from NY so I don't have any ideas..

  3. I dont know a hall to reccomend but I will say that you are making a good choice.  I have been on a couple cruises and observed people trying to have weddings and though the pictures are beautiful out on the ocean, I think the wedding party guests tend to be more focused on the cruise and its distracting and frantic to the wedding couple themselves....also with people gawking in close quarters....

  4. Well, where are you located??

Without knowing your location the best I can do is give you a few questions to ask:

    1. Can I bring in my own caterer or do I need to use yours? If so, what are their average rates?

    2. Can I bring my own wine/champagne in or do I need to use yours? Do you charge a corking fee?

    3. Do you provide bartenders/servers/etc. and is that at an additional cost?

    4. Do you charge a fee for cutting/serving the cake?

    5. Do you charge a fee for draping/setting up tables?

The reason why I put all of these qeuestions out there is because these tend to be the "hidden fees" that come with a reception hall. Things like bringing in your own wine (which you can buy in bulk) or choosing your own caterer can save a lot of money, and a lot of people don't think about adding this into the "cost." Things like charging you to cut/serve your cake (my friend is paying 35 cents a slice) tacks on more than you think.

  5. Where are you?
