  1. Great Question!

-- The date of the Wedding

--  Wedding Website info, if any

--  A brief note of thanks (Thanks for visiting, looking forward to seeing everyone on May 18, etc...)

--  Helpful hint - "...in response to many questions we've been receiving from our guests, we would be most happy to have any items purchased via this site mailed directly to our home.  Please, come to the event unencumbered by boxes and bags... just bring yourselves in a party mood!"

I really can't recommend getting a Wedding website enough.  You can post directions, pictures, menus, bios, all kinds of information.  We had a great one (Wedshare is the vendor, I believe) that I got at a huge discount because I got a code from a book (E plan your wedding, I believe).

It was easy to set up, and we could gather and send all kinds of information through the website.  I'm no html programmer, either... very user friendly.

As far as visitor and return-friendly registries, I would be happy to recommend the following:

    -- Target

    --  Bed, Bath, and Beyond

    Have fun, and good luck!

  2. you names, the wedding date and some info.  you can mention shipping the gifts to you instead of bringing them to the wedding

  3. No offense, but why starting a registry 2 years out?

Set it up when you send your save the date cards, not earlier.

    Good luck

  4. The name of the bride- and groom-to-be, the date and location of the wedding, and maybe a preemptive thank you to your generous friends and family.
