Wedding rings...engagement rings...?

so, i need someone to explain to me everything about wedding rings and engagement rings. like, the guy would give the girl an engagement ring, then buy a wedding ring. does the girl keep the engagement ring and wear it or what? i am so confused. can someone explain it in detail? lol thanks.

I picked out my wedding band too..I wear them both but they are not hooked together. You can buy them as a set...but it is sorta fun to pick out your own band.

yes, you are right. The guy buys the engagement ring and asks the girl to marry him. Then they set a date and both the girl and the guy buy each other wedding bands. sometimes the guy can buy the girl an engagement ring that comes with a wedding band. in that case you just save that until the wedding. If you have to purchase a wedding band separately, then make sure that it matches the engagement ring, or just let her pick it out. I picked mine out, it was fun. I am choosing to get my engagement ring and wedding band soldered together. some girls just wear them together, but yes the girl wears both the engagement ring and the wedding band after the wedding.
