  1. i didnt care how much it cost, the diamond absolutely had to be real! i didnt care about the metal so long as it was a silver color. im just not that materialistic :-/

  2. i cared a little about my engagement ring. i wanted a solitare princess cut (one stone only!) and gold ring...other then that he could pick the style of the mount and the size of the diamond

for the wedding rings we went shopping together and i pick out mine and he picked out his (so that we would have ones that we liked)

the one i choose hooks into my engagment ring.

  3. For wedding It does not matter if it is kinda cheap! but at leas it has to be 14k Gold and if you are gonna get one with Diamonds! make them REAL diamonds! (it does not matter how small, but real!) Get what is best for you budget!

  4. If you can't afford real diamonds, then go with a less expensive gem stone or a solid band... DO NOT GET FAKE DIAMONDS.. thats one way to start out on a trashy foot.

  5. i don't really care how much it cost but i do care if its real or fake it my wedding ring it should be real and the diamond has to be big i don't really care for gold but now that i have my ring i should have got it cause white gold fades and you have to keep re-dipping it into white gold i have to rings so the rub on each other and the white gold rubs off

  6. Our bands are platinum and hold up really well. I'm not much for diamonds so he foudn me a set with my preferred stones, sapphires :) Too bad, I can;t wear them anymore, they are too big now LOL

  7. I need a strong metal since I am pretty clutzy, so I needed my rings to be platinum. All of my gold or white gold and silver rings are bent, which sucks.

When it comes to the diamond, I would rather have no diamond at all over a fake one.

  8. Yes, I cared, which is why I bought my own ring.  My ex-wife did not spend a dime on my ring.  I paid for it all myself.  Now my partner and I picked out silver rings, which cost about $15 each, and they are marvelous.  they are much nicer than the $600 24karat gold ring I bought 20 years ago for my marriage, that is now worth three times as much.

  9. I do care how much it costs - I wouldn't want an expensive ring. I wanted a very specific ring style - a plain yellow gold band - because this is what my parents wear, it's traditional where I'm from. So yes, the metal mattered, and I didn't want any stones in it.

  10. My FH and I both prefer yellow gold, and I have a thing for colored, natural diamonds. Luckily, colored diamonds are cheaper in some cases, and I'm not afraid of an inclusion or two. My FH likes his band, a heavy chain ring in yellow gold, and mine is a Tacori-style eternity band;

    Example: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...

Both rings cost less than $1000 total.

We don't really have an engagement ring per se, though I'm going to have an antique Victorian setting that I got on eBay reworked with inexpensive chocolate and champagne diamonds, to be used at our formal ceremony if I can afford it(I don't want him to pay for it, he bought us a house).

  11. i don't care what ever is my wedding ring and how much it cost the important thing is i love my husband and he love's me.

  12. I didnt care how much mine was, jsut that it was a good quality that would last.

I wanted diaomonds only to match my engagement ring, and its my style and they are real

and i got white gold also to match the engagement ring

his ring was about the same price, no diamonds, and its tungsten carbide because he has a job where he works with his hands so we wanted it not to get beat up

  13. I would have been happy with less costly rings, but my guy has been married before and wanted a little more glitz.  We're looking at about $500 for each ring.  He wants a real diamond, so that is what he is getting. I'm not planning on having any diamonds in my wedding ring, although I may consider another stone.  We're going with white gold as that is the color of my engagement ring.  My sister and BIL have yellow gold rings and he gave her an engagement ring 4 years after they were married. It is white gold. Looks great with her ring, so don't hesitate to have 2 different types of metal.

  14. I would rather not have a diamond than have a fake one. I'm not saying it to sound s****., but there are so many beautiful rings done just in metal, why would you want to bling it up with fake diamonds?

I don't care how much they cost, but they should never be more than you can comfortably afford. With all the costs of starting a new life together, you shouldn't go into debt because of your rings.

As for what kind of metal, it depends on your style. Some people prefer yellow gold, others white gold or silver. Platinum is beautiful but expensive. Gold is pretty but soft, and can get bent out of its proper shape more easily than the other metals. You should talk to a reputable jeweler to help you make a decision.

  15. I didn't care how much it cost high or low...I wouldn't want fake diamonds-if they weren't affordable, I'd rather another REAL gemstone. I really wanted yellow gold because that's what my grandmother had, and to me, that's a wedding ring.
