Wedding songs from the 40s-present?

Question

For predinner songs at weddings people usually play music. I dont want the cliche sinatra and dean martin songs. I was thinking doing a few songs from each era starting with like the 40s. Like something from the temptations for the 50s and like "Thankyou" by zeppelin for the 60s/70s. I want a few different songs for each era, but i want them to be in chronological order. Anyone know of some good ones that you dont usually hear?
