How Do I thank my Husbands boss for sending us 2 place settings and a co worker for a crystal bowl. They were not invited to the wedding since it was a destination wedding

I would do something like:

Dear John,

Thank you so much for the place settings! They look amazing with the other tableware we have. Thank you so much for being so thoughtful!

Yours Truly, xx and xx.

And for the coworker, I'd say.... :

Dear Sue,

Thank you so much for the crystal bowl! We love it, and can't wait to use it very soon. Thank you for being so thoughtful!

Yours Truly, xx and xx.

This is how I did all my thank you notes for people who weren't invited, you don't need to mention that they weren't invited.

I actually bought a book for this because I couldn’t figure out how to thank people for stuff I asked for.

Basic format:

Thank you for the lovely place settings & crystal bowl. We will enjoy them and think of your generosity when we use them.

He probably would not have gone to the far away, i assume, destination wedding. So he was very gracious and appropriate in sending you a valuable gift. The co-worker and your husband's boss should be sent a thank you card indicating the distance away your wedding was and how special you felt getting a gift from them. A small wedding picture could be included in the card to show them how pretty you and your husband looked. Best of Wishes in your future life together.
