Wedding theme????????

Question

Okay so im planning a wedding and id like it to have a nice theme but nuthing thats been done like a million times...any ideas on what theme i should do?

How about no theme?  I don't think themes are really needed.  The theme of a wedding should be love and commitment.  Just think of how you would like to decor the room and play up the location, but a specific theme is never needed.

I think 'themes' are over-done.  You don't really need a theme, just a colour scheme.  I think people confuse the two these days.  

Your theme can be getting married, now just colour coordinate your bridesmaids and linens and you're set!

First of all, Red and White is way over done. Those r the typical wedding colors. I even thought of using red. Some bride's take their fave. color and their fiance's fave. color and go from there. They may darken or lighten them a bit and BAM.....their wedding colors. Then I have also heard of some brides using nature and their wedding date as their colors. (Fall,Winter,Summer,Spring) Like I've told someone before. The decision is ultimately up to you. Most likely someone is going to use the same colors as you, but you can always out your own twist to it and make it your own. GOOD LUCK!!!!

well...... i have an idea for you. i was engaged before and my colors were navy blue and gold with a star theme. didn't marry that guy but when i was planning the wedding i had a really hard time finding stuff on it ....even when i told people they would tell me 'oh wow sounds nice. haven't seen that at a wedding yet' like i said didn't marry him.....i am engaged again now and getting married next year.....didn't want to use that color scheme and theme cause i figured it would't be right. you're more than welcome to have it!!!!!!!!!!!

just pick two colors and base it around that.

i would pick red and white.

but thats up to you on which colors you like best.

Here's a theme for you....intimate. I have been to so many large theatrical weddings lately, and the ones that really stick out and make the biggest impression are the ones that are small, romantic, intimate and personal. Make your wedding your own. Use your favorite colors, your favorite flowers and invite only the people that are part of your everyday life. Don't use your wedding to get family members together that haven't seen each other in years. Let them have their own party for that. You make this day about you and your groom. Think small and intimate, and make sure everyone in the room can hear what the two of you are saying to each other so they can share in your special day. Congrats to you both!!!!
