Wedding toast!!?? please

hey im going to give a wedding toast at my moms wedding. any funny ideas or thoughtfull. HELP!please

Buy enough of those little hors d'oeuvre toasts for each guest, put pate or cream cheese spread on them, put them on nice platters.  When it's time to make your speech, go around the room and give one to each person.   Then go back up to the front of the room, you take one, raise your hand and say "A toast"!

I did a toast at my best friend's wedding a few months ago. Here are some tips that helped me through it, as I was a nervous wreck.

-keep it relatively short (2-3 minutes)

-try to think of a cute story that involves your relationship with both your mom and the groom (remember, you're toasting both of them as a couple, not just your mom).

-don't tell a story that may be embarrassing to either of them.

-practice it over and over so that you feel confident, and write it out in case you forget once you get up there (its also nice to give the written copy to the bride as a keepsake afterwards)

-don't have more than one drink before you do it. You don't want to be sloppy in front of her guests
