Question:

Wedding with few guests?

So I invited 90 peolple to our wedding, but it's out of town for most people and it looks like only 25 are coming. Obviously, it's not going to be grand affair I planned. I've been really bummed about it, but want to make the most of things. Does anyone have any ideas about what I can do with such a small group to make the party more enjoyable?

  2. The beauty of a small wedding is that you can spend so much more time with each of the guests who are able to make it.  Take advantage of the fact that instead of only having enough time to greet each of your 90 invitees, you'll now have time to actually chat with everyone who's showing.

My fiance and I are having a very small wedding and that's what I'm most looking forward to - the intimacy and the ability to spend more time with each person who makes the trip.  :)

  3. It's hard to make suggestions when you haven't told us what type of reception you are having, or what you and your grooms preferences are.

If you like dancing a DJ or live band will be plenty of entertainment.  If you want things more low key go with a string quartet.  You really do not need to worry about "entertaining" your guests.  You will visit with them, feed them, cut the cake, have the first dance, throw the garter etc.  All that should be plenty regardless of the number of people.

    Just relax and have fun!

  4. Hi.  Give us more details.  Are you planning a meal?  Where is the reception being held....banquet hall...hotel....golf club?  What time is the wedding and the reception?  Are you having dancing?  If you give us a little more info, then we can help.  Edit your question with some more details.

  5. Sounds like the wedding I'm attending on the 30th of next month.

Make sure the reception is very lively.
