  1. If your a normal person on a normal budget do it yourself, people around you will give you good ideas. Its your day, Its better not to stress about the money. Spend less enjoy more and dont make your bridesmaids pay for anything, it is your day not theirs. (I threw that in because I see it causing a lot of problems in other weddings.

  2. If its a little ceremony with little amount of people, you odn't need a wedding planner.but if its a really big thing, maybe you will need one, beacause they are so much details and things in weddings, that maybe you would't have the control at all and loose the grip of the situation............good luck!!

  3. You can go to theknot.com and search there for your area.  Also find wedding planners in your area as well.

Yes, I think that you should have a wedding planner.  It really does make things go very smoothly.  Now as for your family helping you plan.  I don't know about that.  It does depends on how you and your family get along.  Just remember that it will be a lot of opinions and ideas....

I also like to add.  You could just have a wedding planner for just that day!  Now I do think that you will need that, so things can run smoothly.  Has far as planning you can plan it yourself.

  4. www.orientaltrading.com

    Good deals on this site.

Wedding planners are awaste of money.

Have family/friends to help you out with food, taking the pics, use a stereo to play music instead of a dj.

  5. You should have plenty of time to do it your self. Here are some great sites to check out.

Unless one has a really huge guest list or an unlimited budget . . . yes, it is possible for bride to handle the planning herself.

  7. You definately don't have to have a wedding planner.  I suggest you try it on your own first.  If you still feel like you are out of your depth after a few months then you can always call one.

www.theknot.com is a really great website that is hugely popular with tons of tips and planning resources.  You can also get loads of books at any retailer like Barnes and Noble to browse through.
