Weed eater problms? crappy? or me?

i have an pollen pro weedeater probly26-30cc i put the right ammount of gas and oil and pumped the bulb 6X like it said i adjusted the throrrle s***w to idle it it just spins fast and when i gas it it dies then i put it on warm start i held the triger and pulled it it blew A LOT OF SMOKE AND DIED now when i start it it just blowes smoke for 15 sec or less then dies wont syart wats the problem??

  1. How do you have the choke set?  That might be part of your problem.  I know with my Stihl weed eater I had the toughest time until I followed the directions to a T.

    First, I pump the bulb on mine 5x.

    Second, I turn the choke on for the first 5 pulls.

    For any pull after the first 5 pulls, I turn the choke off.

    The handle trigger is set with a locking mechanism that puts it at a high throttle.  I let that run for a second or two then lower the speed.

    If you leave the choke on for too long it can flood your engine and cause it to die.  On some of the older models, you used to have to leave the choke on until it started running smooth then turn the choke off.  I have to do that with my push mower.

    Another problem might be that one of your lines could possibly be clogged.
