WeedEater motor?

I have a FL20 weedeater featherlite with a bum motor. I found an old motor online from a 2001 weedeater, an SST featherlite. If I buy it, will it be compatible with my weedeater shaft and spool assembly?

here's the motor

  1. Monkeyin I don't think the holes will line up to attach the motor.    I would replace the weed eater, buy the time you order the motor you will have about as much money in it as a new one will cost.  By the time you pay shipping you are going to have over $25.00 in your old one with no warranty .  You can buy the same model for $44.00 at Northern Tool.  See link below.
