i got my nose pierced a week ago and ive been cleaning it exactly like the piercer said. today i woke up with some dry blood around the piercing. BUT then at night i rubbed just the tip of my nose and it started bleeding through the hole A LOT. it looked like i had been stabbed or something. there was blood everywhere and the bleeding didnt stop for about 5 minutes.

why did this happen? my nose was feeling a little bit tingly and itchy, but i read that was normal. Also, I did have a stuffy nose for a couple of days.

  1. It sounds like you tore the fistula (the 'tunnel' of tissue that' forming between the entry and exit points) so keep up the sea salt solution and you'll be fine

Amber: Nostrils take around 6 months to heal, please do your homework

  2. It takes up to four weeks for your nose piercing to heal. I have both my sides done. If your nose is still sensitive after a week it just means your nasal is extra sensitive. I wake up with dry blood sometimes (i did my left nostril three days ago). When you hit your piercing seeing it's sensitive it beelds, it's normal. Enjoy you piercing, and watch out for infections, and if it get infected DON'T take it out, it will leave a permanent infection bubble in your nose! Take care.
