Weekly to Bi-Weekly Payroll Transition?

Hi there....

I'm currently employed under a staffing company payroll who's payroll is weekly running Sunday to Sunday. My last check with them will be received on 7/28/08 for the previous weeks work (7/21-7/25). Then the last day of work under their payroll, I will be transitioning to bi-weekly under the companies normal full time employee payroll. I've been working as a full time employee regardless for the last 3 months, just getting paid by the staffing company per contract until 600 hours are reached. So, 600 hours ends on 7/25/08. My new payroll begin date is 7/28/08 bi-weekly and it's in the middle of the period that runs Saturday to Satruday. My boss tells me I'll be paid on 8/8/08 for 40 hours from 7/28/08-8/1/08. If they all just got paid on 7/25/08, the next pay checks out should be 8/1/08, not 8/8/08. I can't imagine them doing payroll for just one person on a different week just for a "new hire". O think I know what the answers will be, but I just want to be sure. Thanks

If it is a reputable company they will make sure you get paid correctly and on a timely basis....whatever they have to do, you've said nothing in your question which makes me think they aren't reputable
