Question:

Weighing scales confusion?

I measured my weight twice today, to my surprise, the results are not the same, with 7 pounds difference. Is this possible? What is the reason for this? has it something to do with the weighing scale or the number of floors where i weighed?

  1. Yeah.

Don't rely on your weighing scale, usually they mess up the numbers.

Like I was 55 KG at first, and after just running for 30 minutes on the treadmil I dropped down to 30 KG.

I suggest weighing yourself at the doctors.

  2. I would say that you need to get some new scales... unless you were naked on the first reading and fully clothed for the second?

  3. Its totally possible, but don't worry. The 7 lb weight increase is due to the food/water you had taken in and possibly the clothes you were wearing. Weigh yourself when you wake up, before you've eaten or had anything to drink, and you will see the numbers back down.

Scales are REALLY REALLY bad and frustrating indicators of our actual weight. They can be altered by so many things throughout the day and lead to feeling really bad over a "gain" that will be gone by the next morning. Try to avoid some of the frustration by weighing in first thing in the morning.

  4. you always have to weigh yourself at the same time, the same place, same amount of clothes, food all of that . my weight goes within 5 lbs throughout the day.  only weigh yourself once under the same conditions or you will freak out a few times a day.
