Im trying to gain about 20 lbs within the year and I was wondering If I will lessen my risk of high blood pressure and heart attack if I do cardio work everyday while the foods I eat are a bit higher in fat. Thanks!

  1. Eating a diet with higher fat foods isn't healthy period. Do you want to gain 20 pounds of fat? Or 20 pounds of muscle? Cardiovascular exercise burns fat. Weight lifting exercises help you gain muscle and, therefore, healthy weight. I'd steer clear of an unhealthy diet, and do some weight training.

  3. That's an excellent suggestion.  You may find that you enjoy the benefits so much that you won't want to give it up!  Of course, something you'll have to be aware of is that you'll be burning more calories and it may slow your weight gain.  Strength training is excellent for gaining weight too...good luck!

  4. Yes, it will! Obese people who get daily exersize can be healthier than a skinny person who gets little physical activity. Why? Because they are working their heart!

Eat foods that are healthy high in fat-- avocados, nuts, etc.

Wow I wish I needed to gain 20 lbs! :)
