Weight Lifting Tips, PLZ HELP?

Im 16 yrs Old

I have two 20lb weights

How much do I lift a in day(reps)?

How Long should I lift the weights (Hour/min)?

PLEASE ANSWER

  1. If possible, get some 10lb weights to start with. You're probably strong enough to lift the 20 lb ones without too much trouble, but reps with these are kind of tolling on your body unless you've been lifting for a while. If you can get 10lb weights, start with 10-20 reps per day for the first week. Then skip lifting through the weekend and monday. Follow this pattern every week, adding 2-3 more reps each time. Eventually, if you're up to 50 per day or more, then switch to the 20 lb weights and start over.


  2. Well, 20 pounds is quite low, so... however many you can stomach to lift, that's how many you take :)

  3. Progressively lift weights, build yourself up. We all have to start somewhere Look up compundlifts. I'd say you should be working out max 1 hour to hour and 1/2 at most.
