  3. You're actually not overweight, you're 22.9 on the BMI scale, if you're over 25 you are, but you're not.

  4. A handy tool to use is a BMI calculator. Of course, this doesn't take everything into consideration so it's not a definite answer. For a more definite weight for your height, you should visit your doctor.

Here's a chart that can help you figure out where your weight/height falls on the BMI chart: http://www.consumer.gov/weightloss/bmi.h...

I did a quick glance; you're within normal range. Don't worry about your weight! Just be glad you're happy and healthy.

  5. yes, there is a typical BMI index chart that you can look up on Google and find. however, i would strongly suggest this site: http://www.scientificpsychic.com/fitness...

it's more accurate and you can also calculate your body fat percentage and how much of you is muscle. then you can really see if it's body fat you should be worrying about or realize that you're actually weighing that much because of your muscle weight. good luck! :)

  10. Yup thats right where you are supposed to be for your age.

  11. I weight 125, and im 5ft'5 14 years old.

  12. You can check to see if your Body Mass Index (BMI) is in a healthy range.  Lots of sites offer this service for free.  Just search for "BMI calculator" on yahoo or any other search engine.

  13. you are fine!

  14. Yeah theres this thing called BMI (Body Mass Index) im pretty sure. that stuff confuses me too! Type something like that into the search bar.

  15. idk but i weigh 90 lb im 13 and im 5'0

    so your like short

  16. When i was 5'2", I was 10 or 11 years old.  I only weighed 115.

    I was a fat slob.

At 16, I was 5'8" and 170 lbs.  I was husky.  Not really fat anymore because I actuallly lost alot of the fat and gained muscles.

At 17, I was 5' 9 and 185.  Same fat but more muscles.

My girlfreind, when I was 16, was also 16, 5'2" and 120.  She was a 34C with soft middle and nice fat butt.

Unless you are 10% or less in body fat, you are FAT.  If you are only a few inches shorter than your father, start lifting weights.  Gain lean mass to increase metabolism.  Eat what you do now but spread it out over 6 "meals".  Drink just enough water to keep your urine slightly colored and withou odor.  Jog 5 to 10 miles a week untill you graduate college.

I think you will be around 5'6" or so unless you keep growing past your teen years.  At that height, you should weigh somewhere around 160 buff.

Edit:  BMI is bull c**p.  It was made up by doctors, who at the time, didn't know jack about physical fitness and body building.  You must measure your body with calipers or do a water dunk test to see how fat you are.  Body Mass index only compaires height to weight.  There are three basic bone structures and three basic muscle/fat types.  So there are nine BASIC body shapes.  The BMI is only usefull for mezomorphic mezomorphs.  You need to adjust the BMI scale to your body type.

When I was 23, I was 5'9.75" and 196 lbs.  At 7.5% body fat, I had twice the fat as competitive body builders.  I was as lean as Olympic swimmers.  I ate like crazy.  According to the US Air Force standards, I was overweight.  My BMI was 28.3- overweight.  Do you think Olympic swimmers are overweight?

When I was 26, I "ballooned" to 220 lbs.  I was as pudgy as any "normal" adult but according to BMI, I was OBESE.  it is no wonder why the Govt statistics state that 2/3 of Americas population is obese.
