Weight and height restrictions in Michigan Adventure rides!?

I want to go to either Michigan Adventure or Cedar Point with my boyfriend. I'm not huge, but I don't want to be asked to get off the ride and be humiliated in front of all of those people. I'm 5'4 and I wear a size 17 in juniors and 16 or 18 in womens. On the Michigan adventure site is says "Due to rider restraint system requirements, guests of exceptional size may not be accommodated on some of our rides. This may apply, but not be limited to, guests who exceed 6' 2" in height, those who exceed 250 pounds, have a 46" waistline or 54" chest, or women size 18 or larger." I'm not over 250, and I dont have a waistline of 46" or a chest of 54". but I'm still super scared, and my boyfriend is a big guy, hes not fat but hes 6'4 and weighs around 300lbs, and he carrys his weight in his chest and belly. should we just not go?

  1. You can ride most of the rides. I prefer the water park.

  2. This is due to safety.  I have a friend who is 4 inches shorter than you & a size 18.  She couldn't fit in one roller coaster ride.  She waited & got in the last car & she was able to fit but it wasn't comfortable or fun.  It's up to you.  If you want to be uncomfortable go for it.  It's really not discrimination it's about the way the rides are built.  You can go & look and see if you see anyone built the way you are on the rides.  If so then you can probably ride them too.

  3. I honestly don't think they will let you on the rides. I would try to find something else to do.
