  1. Yep. Next time start dieting and training harder more than 3 weeks before the fight.

  2. Right now I'm cutting 10 pounds for wrestling, and what is working for me is I get up and go for a 3 mile run. I wrestle every other day. The best thing to eat is salad with no dressing on it for lunch and dinner. I like to sleep in to avoid wanting to eat breakfest. Only drink enough water to keep hydrated. Calory counting helps for if you get under-weight and still have a few days before weigh-ins

  3. cut out any junk thats left in ur diet ( candy, juices, soda, anything that basically tastes good)

cut down on all ur meal sizes, down eat after 8 oclock, and 3 days before the fight try getting as much sleep as possible with layers, not only will u be rested for ur fight its an easy way for your own body to loss weight

run at least 3 miles, 2 times a day, and keep doing what ur currently doing in the gym,

u can take lax if u get REALY DESPRATE! ( i have done it before to make for wrestling and its not fun wanting to take a **** in the middle of a match) take them usually 2 days before the fight so they dont bother on fight day. this is only if u cant lose weight the regular way.

i guess the last tip i can offer from 5 years of wrestling is, oatmeal, for breakfast , lunch, snack and diner , keeps u going, and yes this is a realy c**p solution in the long term but its one way to do it, the other is continues dieting year round

  4. You can start off by eliminating all carbs out of your diet. You don't have to do anything extreme as far as dieting. If you can eat nothing but fruit, oatmeal (single pack), yogurt, or protein shake for breakfast. Just one of those though. For lunch you can eat a side salad, soup,a power bar, more fruit or stemmed veggies. Then for dinner saute some veggies.(cut up one whole cabbage, put it in a saute pan, add seasoning salt, pepper and garlic powder, then simmer on medium and stir frequently  until it's tender to your liking). Cut out meat till you hit your weight, only eat seafood like salmon or tuna. Don't eat anything after 6pm. Drink loads of water.

You need to workout with high intensity. You have to do circuit training because it helps boost your metabolism and burn fat.Push ups, sit ups, pull ups, jump rope. Combine all of these into a workout session and do them for 30 seconds to a minute each. Get on a exercise bike or elliptical and sprint for 15 seconds then easy of 10 seconds. Repeat this process for 15-20 minutes, you can also up the level time depending on how you feel (20-30 secs). You must train no so much long but just hard as h**l. Also plyometrics will help so hit those stadium stairs and run and jump them intensely. Also use cone drills because they help for your quickness.

13 pounds is not that hard to loose. You can do it in a week. Just make sure that you stay training. Look at guys like GSP. He never stops training and as a fighter you cant ever stop training because it makes that much harder to get back and loose that newly acquired weight. I'm speaking from experience because I started f-ing off my workouts for 2 weeks and I shot to 224 and I need to drop to my playing weight of 210 by August. So it's a long up hill climb.

Best of luck to ya and kick ***.
