What is the math formula to determine how much a person lifts and holds using a dolly or wheel barrow?

  1. It depends on the construction of the wheelborrow.

    If the distance from the pivot (axle) to your hand grip is A and the distance from the pivot to the center of mass is B, then the mechanical advantage is A/B

    Divide the weight of the load + weight of the borrow by the mechanical advantage to get the force to lift at the hand grip.
