Weight gain with prednisone questions?

I've been put on prednisone for 15 days to help my sinus infection clear up. I've got a script that says 5 tabs for 3 days, 4 tabs for 3 days, 3 tabs for 3 days, 2 tabs for 3 days, then 1 tab every other day.

So my questions are:

Is being on prednisone for 15 days likely to cause me to gain weight?

How much?

What can I do to help avoid it?

What has been your experience with this nasty-tasting medicine?

Are you on the SoluMedrol Dose Pak?? Once you reach to only taking it every other day, is the next step to stop it ?? This is usually the instructions. A short term usage of Prednisone, should not affect your weight or very little, if at all.

Long term, chronic use of Prednisone, over time, will cause weight gain. But, it seems as though you aren't going to be taking it long term.

I, personally, have taken the DosePak several times and, I disliked it very much. But, I did not experience any weight gain.
