Question:

Weight limit on a skateboard?

I'm researching a scene for the novel I'm writing and I want to have two characters standing on a skateboard while hanging onto a moving vehicle, their combined weight being 300 pounds. Can a skateboard withstand that amount of weight as long as the riders aren't jumping up and down? The distance wouldn't be more than three miles. If anyone knows, I'd really appreciate it.

  1. the weight limit on a skate board is most likely 250 pounds.

  2. Since it is moving the they have to maintain their balance on the board so it will snap.

  3. 1Gb.

    7600 bytes.

  4. as long as they can balance themselves.

and as long as you are standing right on the 4 small holes on the deck (where the trucks are located), you are safe.

  5. I had a few skateboards crack on me before while skating and gotta guess their weight resistance to be at about 250 to 300 pounds.

  6. I'm pretty positive that's not a problem...

"Professional" grade skateboards are very tough. As long as that weight was distributed on the trucks of the skateboard and the vehicle wasn't going too fast its possible in real life.

  7. Probably, as long as there not standing in the middle, if each one is over a seperate truck and the roads not rocky or somthing then it would pry hold.
