Since this is like, 7 weeks away, can somebody give me advice as to how to lose this in that time without being too hardcore about it?

Thanks!

  1. well i dont know your workout plans if you have any...but 8lbs in 7 weeks is definately doable. drink more water, this will flush out your system and allow your kidney's to focus more on your metabolism. increase your meal frequency. eat like 4-5 times a day, small meals. if you plan on doing any cardio...start out slow. if you just jump on and do an hour, your body will burn muscle instead of fat. start out with 5 minutes. then 8, then 10 and so on. training with weights also helps you burn more calories at rest than doing just cardio. so ide recommend circuit training. hope this helps! have fun at the wedding.

  2. go  wheat  free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food after 7

p.m.  People  achieve  marvellous  results  with it. Depending on your

initial  weight,  you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If you don't eat  wheat  then you don't eat all those sticky, fatty goey cakes, you don't  eat  junk  food,  and  you don't eat biscuits. But your diet is

still  balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to calculate points or to buy special meals or plans.

  3. i got a friend weigh 310 lbs. Before she ate too much oily foods, beer, soda, potatoes, bread, ice cream, cake and junk foods. And now she weigh 132 lbs. What she did was, she ate what she can eat just a portion.

No white bread but steak bread instead, no chips, not much oil foods, no alcohol, no soda but lime juice or tea, most of all no potatoes and macaroni and cheese. Chocolates but Dark..

When i came over i was 115lbs then few months after i was 180lbs because i ate too much but i did not realize that was not good. So, what i did i ate what i can eat... just to satisfy my stomach. I am not cutting back but i am eating the food that i use to eat when i was in my country.. we oriental we just love to eat vegetables especially leafy, beans, few meat but more in fish and sea foods, we just don't eat "too much" potato and bread. We are into tea esp. green because we believe green tea is good for digesting and healthier than brown. And it's good for dieting.

You Know what i notice since i came over i cannot really eat burgers like in Mc Donalds, Wendy's and esp in Braums cuz my tummy always get upset and i throw up after i eat. We do have Mc Donalds, Wendy's, Dunkin Donuts etc.. but i just cannot explain why.

You cannot totally see many big people in my country.. just chubby but not very often. If we feel that we are getting big we have to do something. We are just totally concern and conscious of our body.

And now i weigh 110lbs by eating the food that i use to eat, and of course with excise (zumba fitness). Try to look in youtube the zumba fitness or latin dance.. it's fun.

If you eat something try to look the how much calories and in breakfast use Kelloggs the original that has white box. I do believe you will lose 5 pounds in each week, same as i am.

    Good Luck!

    God Bless You Always!

  4. You should be able to lose 8lbs by October 17th.

Try to keep all junk foods, ready made processed meals, alcohol, and takeaway meals to an absolute minimum.  These are high in refined sugar and full of saturated fat. The two main ingredients which are responsible for those extra pounds. Junk food is just what it says - JUNK.  With one added ingredient in - FAT.

Try to include more whole foods into your diet.  Such as brown bread, brown rice, brown pasta, beans & pulses.  These are high in fiber and will keep you feeling fuller for longer.

Eat lean meats (no fat on), poultry (no skin on), eggs, fish, plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, low fat dairy products, skimmed milk and non sugary cereals.

Snack on fresh fruit in between meals, drink plenty of water, try to cut your portion sizes down too, stop eating when you feel full.

Try also to MOVE as MUCH as YOU CAN.  EXERCISE will really help to accelerate your weight loss.

One thing you have to remember though is that you will only lose weight as long as you burn more calories than you consume.  So eating a healthy sensible diet and taking regular exercise will work perfectly.

I know this works.  I managed to lose 48lbs in just over 6 months.  This was over 2 years ago.

    Good Luck.

  5. First you need to figure out how many calories you are burning (roughly) Check out these calculators:

    http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calcul...

    http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calcul...

    to do that.

Once you have an idea, COUNT YOUR CALORIES. Know what you are taking in. If you eat 500 calories less than what you need in a day then you will lose a pound a week - 1 pound = 3500 calories.

You should check out a community site http://forums.jpfitness.com/fat-loss-tro... is great and FREE.

I would also highly recommend getting http://fatlosstroubleshoot.com it is a little expensive but explains everything you need to do to lose fat and is written by Leigh Peele NASM-CPT.

  6. This Diet will help you get started. You will lose about 10 lbs in the first week. It will shrink your tummy, and help you to cut back too once you have finished it. It really works. I lost 12 pounds in the first week. I ended up losing about 28 pounds and look great!!

Remember: This diet should only be followed for 7 days at a time, with at least two weeks in between.

    Day One:

Fruit: Eat all of the fruit you want (except bananas). Eat only your soup and the fruit for the first day. For drinks- unsweetened teas, cranberry juice and water.

    Day Two:

Vegetables: Eat until you are stuffed will all fresh, raw or cooked vegetables of your choice. Try to eat leafy green vegetables and stay away from dry beans, peas and corn. Eat all the vegetables you want along with your soup. At dinner, reward yourself with a big baked potato with butter. Do not eat fruit today.

    Day Three:

Mix Days One and Two: Eat all the soup, fruits and vegetables you want. No Baked Potato.

    Day Four:

Bananas and Skim Milk: Eat as many as eight bananas and drink as many glasses of skim milk as you would like on this day, along with your soup. This day is supposed to lessen your desire for sweets.

    Day Five:

Beef And Tomatos: Ten to twenty ounces of beef and up to six fresh tomtoes. Drink at least 6 to 8 glasses of water this day to wash the uric acid from your body. Eat your soup at least once this day. You may eat broiled or baked chicken instead of beef (but absolutely no skin-on chicken). If you prefer, you can substitute broiled fish for the beef one one of the beef days (but not both).

    Day Six:

Beef and Vegetables: Eat to your heart's content of beef and vegetables this day. You can even have 2 or 3 steaks if you like, with leafy green vegetables. No Baked Potato. Eat your soup at least once.

    Day Seven:

Brown rice, unsweetened fruit juices and vegetables: Again stuff, stuff, stuff yourself. Be sure to eat your soup at least once this day.

    Cabbage Soup Recipe

    6 large green onions

    2 green peppers

1 or 2 cans of tomatoes (diced or whole)

    3 Carrots

1 Container (10 oz. or so) Mushrooms

    1 bunch of celery

    half a head of cabbage

    1 package Lipton soup mix

1 or 2 cubes of bouillon (optional)

    1 48oz can V8 juice (optional)

Season to taste with salt, pepper, parsley, curry, garlic powder, etc.

    Directions:

Slice green onions, put in a pot and start to saute with cooking spray.

Cut green pepper stem end off and cut in half, take the seeds and membrane out. Cut the green-pepper into bite size pieces and add to pot.

Take the outer leafs layers off the cabbage, cut into bite size pieces, add to pot.

Clean carrots, cut into bite size pieces, and add to pot.

Slice mushrooms into thick slices, add to pot.

If you would like a spicy soup, add a small amount of curry or cayenne pepper now.

You can use beef or chicken bouillon cubes for seasonings. These have all the salt and flavors you will need.

Use about 12 cups of water (or 8 cups and the V8 juice), cover and put heat on low. Let soup cook for a long time - two hours works well. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

  7. Eat less and move more. Simple.

No really if that's all you have to lose you should easily do it by cutting down, and exercising at least 4 times a week.  Cardio vascular, circuit training etc.  Like the previous answer said.

Hope you manage it and I'm sure you will

    Good Luck

  8. Losing weight first starts with being happy with yourself and loving *YOU* on the inside. Try everyday to smile and laugh, LAUGHING is super helpful. It seems weird but it really does help! =) Try to follow a 1600 calorie diet.

It's best to have 5 meals a day that way you don't get to hungry because that leads to over eating.

Here is a couple ideas to help you get started:

    Breakfast:

Oatmeal and a piece of wheat toast w/ 2tsp. trans free margarine. -OR- Strawberry Banana Smoothie (In a blender process until smooth, 1 small banana, 1/2 cup strawberries, 1/2 cup fat free milk, 1/2 cup low fat plain yogurt, 2 tsp. honey, and 1 or 2 ice3 cubes. You can have your smoothie with 1 or 2 pieces of whole wheat toast. -OR- An egg on a piece of wheat toast with salsa (make 2 servings) ---If you are still huingry at breakfast have a small piece of fruit.

    Lunch:

1 cup soup (water based not cream base) and a Cheese and Tomato Sandwich: 2 slices whole wheat bread, 2 slices reduced fat cheese, mustard and sliced tomato. -OR_ instead of the tomato sandwich 2 pieces whole wheat with 2 slices of Turkey and Mustard. -OR- A Lean Cuisine Frozen Meal (These are actually very tasty. The meat is delicious.

Dinner: 1 piece Chicken Breast with 2 side dishes: 1 cup steamed veggies, 1 sweet potato, 3/4 cup corn, 3/4 cup butternut squash, etc.

    Dessert:

Light Ice Cream or Frozen Yogurt:

3/4 cup with no more than 110 calories per 1/2 cup topped with tablespoon chocalate syrup.

    Snacks:

Steamed Veggies, fruit, any nuts (these are great protein),

my personal favorite snack is Light and Fit 60 calorie yogurt cup with a 100 calorie Granola Bar. (I cruch up the Granola Bar and put it inside of my yogurt.)

You can have any of the under 6 grams of fat sandwiches! They're delicious just No MAyo. My favorite is Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki. I like to get a foot long and have a 6' for lunch and a 6' for dinner.

Also make sure you do 30 minutes of excercise 5 days a week. I like to walk to the store and back instead of drive =)

This was just some ideas to help you on your way.

Also its great to drink one glass of water before eating. Water is very important! It takes your body 30 minutes to tell your brain you're full so sometimes after you eat a small meal wait 30 minutes to see if you are still hungry or not.

GOOD LUCK!!! I know you can do it!

Also the Fat Smash diet is wonderful, I lost 20 lbs in one month, you can pick up the book at any library it is very easy.

  9. You could try taking the stairs instead of a lift, or walking to places if you usually take the car, if you already do that you could take a walk/jog in the evening (if you have a dog take that out with you) which also helps you to sleep better, and eat more fruit and veg instead of crisps and snacks, also you should eat 3 balanced meals, and not skip breakfast, you should also be having 2/3 snacks inbetween your meals, all of this should help you to lose the weight you want

  10. I think you should go to a chiropractor who sells a brand of whole food supplements called Standard Process and ask about the Purification and Weight Management Program (a.k.a liver cleanse)  It is a 3 week detox which includes supplements and a shake mix.  It is all totally natural and will help your body to get rid of pounds of sludge and toxins which have accumulating over the years.  It's pretty intense, but I guarantee you will 8 pounds - probably more.  This is great way to get your body into a healthier state.  It will improve your overall health - energy levels, skin, hair, sleep, digestion, etc.  I do not sell the product, I just finished the cleanse about 2 months ago and even though I did not do it to lose weight( I weigh 125 and am 5'9'') I still lost 8 pounds of junk that had been slowing down my body and effecting how efficiently I could process food.  Even 2 months later, the weight is still off and I feel awesome.

I think his would be a great, healthy solution that will benefit you in the long run and is not just a quick-fix, short-term crash diet.   I hope I've helped - take care!

  11. eat 5 small healthy meals a day...brisk walk one hour daily

  12. I am an independent consultant for a health, nutrition, beauty company. Please e-mail me and I will get in contact with you personally about some of the products that my company sells. You can lose the weight without going too hardcore, there is no starvation, or eating soup all day.

  13. Hello!

Firstly, you need to be careful with weight loss. Rapid weight loss really isn't healthy for you and if you are planning on losing weight for an event, then you need to plan in advance. Typicaly guidelines are 2 to 3 pounds weight loss a week is healthy. More than that and you do run a risk of damaging yourself.

Losing weight is, in itself, relatively easy. You need to

    1) Consume Less Calories

    2) Burn More Calories

What is difficult is the motivation for weight loss.

Most people struggle to lose weight because they do not have the motivation and because they give in to all the temptation around.

I personally have found that hypnosis is an excellent way to deal with weight loss motivation as it works with the subconscious mind and really helps you get motivated. A good hypnotist can also do things like stop you craving chocolate and sweet things and help you be more motivated with exercise and the like.

I've also found that as the excess weight starts to drop off I am feeling much more self confident and better about myself.

    All the best to you!
