Question:

Weight loss competition advice (not diet or exercise related)?

My fiance is participating in a weight loss competition at work, and he REALLY wants to win, like that is his motivation is to win the holiday and losing weight will just be a bonus. OK so the competition supposedly started yesterday, but each of the 170 employees participating are seeing a nutritionist/doctor at seperate appointments, so although the comp started yesterday, he doesn't know when his weight / fitness will actually be recorded. Our question is, should he stick to the weight loss plan he started yesterday, or should he wait until he has been weighed first? His concern is that if he loses an amount of weight or gains any fitness before his appointment, it won't count towards the competition. What do you think is the best solution strategy wise?

  1. The first weeks loss is always the most significant...tell him to wait because if he starts the diet before being weighed and recorded, he will not be able to add that loss, but in the meantime get organised to participate, and that his meals and regime is prepared well in advance.

    Good luck!
