  1. whoah...your a lard azz..eat some celery

  2. Reduce caloric intake, limit fat to less than 30-35 gms, and in a word. . . . AEROBICS.  You sound like me when i was training to climb Mt. Rainier, except that I was sedentary, a little heavier than you, and not nearly as strong.  I did a warm-up, including walking a mile, before any exercise, aerobics (step) 3-5 times a week, sometimes doubling up and doing it twice a day (on occasion) and then a circuit of weight machines.  In addition I did the recumbent bicycle, and stair-master wearing a 35# backpack for about 1/2 hour a day.  I dropped from a size 22 to a size 10 in less than six months, climbed Rainier at a healthy 165, more muscled than I had ever been in my entire un-athletic life. . . . and it changed my life.

Metabolism is the key.  It takes 20 minutes to get to the stage you are burning consistent calories, and then sustain that for as long as you can.  sweat! sweat! sweat! and sweat some more!  Drink lots of water to help flush that burned fat out of your body.  Watch your electrolytes.  Do not do fad anything. . . diets, supplements, etc.  And if you are taking protein shakes, moderate that, as they can add weight by boosting the muscle mass out of balance to your total body profile.

I am also a middle aged female (was 43 at the time) and you are a male . . . there will be differences because of this.

    Good luck.

  3. is 225 your rep or max? i'm assuming thats your max. muscle weighs more than fat. and with the info you gave us i would say your not fat but ask your doctor if he has a body fat tester. that could be a real good indicator. under 20% is normal under 10% is slim.

you can also buy body fat scales.

  4. Oh my gosh...NO!! You are no where near fat. You sound like a lot of muscle which is perfectly fine.

  5. yes if you have a lot of muscle then you will weigh a lot. muscle weighs more than fat. if you are wanting to lose weight then you should power walk. its better than jogging for weight loss
