Weight loss is progressing along but I need help!?

In the last 7 weeks I have lost 20 pounds by simply eating right and doing moderate activity. I have about 50 pounds to go. I would like to lose another 30 by the end of the year. I am sure I can do it as I am mega motivated. But does anyone have any ideas on how to speed this process up?

I'm not a pill popper but as long as it doesn't have any freak side effects I might try it.

  2. Congrats on losing so much weight! And while you've made a lot of great progress so far, I don't think it would be very healthy to lose more than three pounds a week... Which you are close to doing, if you lost 20 pounds in 7 weeks. It sounds like you're really changing your lifestyle, and I think that any 'shortcuts' a person takes will ultimately give them an excuse to keep up old (bad) habits and, ultimately, make them gain back the weight they've lost. While shortcuts are tempting, and certain goals are what you need to get motivated (ie 'i want to be able to wear that red dress for that wedding in two months'), I am strongly against pills or unnecessarily overexerting yourself.

    So basically, keep up what you've been doing! That means, good eating, and good exercise. Exercise should boost your metabolism naturally, and you probably already feel the effects exercise has as far as your daily energy levels.

    Though maybe you can try out different eating lifestyles? Cut out red meats, or maybe cut out wheats?
