  1. If I'm thinking correctly, that's where you take in account the 5.0 scale, usually for honor, AP, and IB classes, counting them higher than regular classes.

Unweighted is were everything is placed on the 4.0 scale.

  2. That all depends on what school you go to. In most public schools, weighted GPAs are calculated like this:

    AP Classes (A=6 points, B=5 points, C=4 points, D=3 points, F=2 points)

    Honors Classes (A=5 points, B=4 points, C=3 points, D=2 points, F=1 point)

    Regular Classes (A=4 points, B=3 points, C=2 points, D=1 point, F=0 points)

Add up all your points and then divide by the number of classes you took. Good luck and hope this helps!

  3. weighted is on a 5.0 scale (for AP and Pre-AP classes)

    AP and Pre-AP:

    A-5,B-4,C-3

unweighted is on a 4.0 scale (academic classes)

    A-4,B-3,C-2
