I've been struggling with this for a long time now. I'm not afraid of heights. I've ridden different rollercoasters and thrill rides. Some had drops and some were cleverly undetectable. I'll give you a few examples:

When I lived in Chiago I went to Six Flags Great America (Gurnee). I rode the Demon and the American Eagle (for a Girl Scout bravery patch.)

A few years later my family and I ended up moving to Kansas City, Missouri. Here we have an amusement park called Worlds of Fun. There I rode "The Orient Express" a rollercoaster and the "Detonator"a tower ride.

I will never forget my first ride on the American Eagle and it's effected me ever since. I remember being terrified, feeling like I was on the verage of passing out. I was doing it to get a bravery patch for Girl Scouts. It's a woodie (if you never heard of it before). It was rickety and jostled me every which way...

  1. Woodies are the worst for first roller coasters, mine was, and it kept me off of rollercoasters for the rest of the day.  That feeling is part of air-time, which I now love.  I think the wild woodies ruin too man people for rollercoasters.  I say try a small steel coaster, like Maverick at Cedar Point, (Check Cedar Point's website, cedarpoint.com) and you will probably like coasters better.
