Weightlifting class?

I'm wanting to join a gym... but we start school in a month and im taking weightlifting the first semester........ but my question is..... what do you do in weightlifting class? is it just free working out or do we do educational stuff too?

because if it's just working out... then i won't join the gym because there would be no need to... but if theres studying and stuff then I'll join the gym and go on the days we don't lift.

and yea the reason I don't join now is because theres a 70 dollar straught up fee. and if I join the gym i'd be paying and not going to the gym which would be a waste of money

  1. A good weightlifting class will cover anatomy along with working out.  You'll probably create a workout schedule, and track your strength gains throughout the semester.  It's really good if you aren't sure what to do in the gym.  A lot of people will join a gym, look at the weights and think to themselves, "umm, not sure where to begin or how that thing works."  Take the class, find out if you like lifting weights, learn how to build muscle, then decide after you are knowledgable if you want to join a real gym.  In reality, the school's facilities should be adequate for now.  You can always work with the PE teacher to work out more after school.  Those teachers tend to work with you if you want to better yourself.
