I have been exercising since I was a like 5 but my dad never let me take things serious. He was a bodybuilder, and I have the blood, and time to do it I am 15 and I started 6 months ago, and I all ready see results. But I am not trying to get big now because My body still hasn't developed fully. The thing is that I was 210 pounds, and I wanted to lose that , so I did Now I weigh 175. My dad tells me I'm not seeing results anymore because I'm losing more and more weight, and fast. He says I should stay were I am at because I'm trying to build muscle. SO if I lose weight I wont have any where to put the muscle.

Now the Question:

Should I stay the same, and Get allot of muscle mass, and then Start burning fat after I get big, so that I could see the muscle

Should I eat allot so I could get more muscle?

Who ever took the time to read this I would like to thank.

  1. No man, keep trying to turn fat into muscle its the best way.. your dad is right it is harder to gain muscle from like nothing .. but if you have some extra fat thats perfect, tone it up is the first step, then they will keep getting bigger

also drink protein shakes before and after workout to give the muscles what it needs to grow fatser

  2. If you're not seeing results, you may have plateaued.  It has nothing to do with how much fat you have unless you've reached a point where it's just a healthy amount.  To break muscle building barriers, change the routines, reps, weight loads and speed of the workout.  Give your body time to recover between workouts.  Burn fat and do cardio, like running on off lifting days, you want to be building cardio strength too.

  3. No one cares.  THis isn't even a weightlifting question.

  4. Just build up muscle now. It will be easier to cut fat weight after you get more muscle anyway... and it will look better

who wants to be a skinny emo f*g... BE STRONG LIKE BULL

  5. most pro bodybuilders gain weight in the offseason and start cutting about six weeks or more before a competition depending on how much they want to lose (about a pound a week) be sure that when you bulk up in the offseason you dont gain too much weight because it just makes it harder to lose before a comp.  Also, the more muscle mass you have, the easier it is to lose the layer of fat that hides it.  So to answer your question, yes bulk up and then cut.

P.S. your dad is right to not let you take it too seriously yet.
