The Austrian attacker has expressed determination to cement his place in the Aston Villa’s first-team, while revealing that he has been working extremely hard in the training sessions.

The Austrian ace, who has failed to represent the Villans regularly since making his debut at Villa Park in 2010/11 season, hopes that the ongoing campaign can be a breakthrough season for him.
“I hope it can be a breakthrough season for me, yes. I’ve played a lot of football lately and that’s the first time I’ve really been doing that regularly with the first team, to get that many games. Hopefully I can keep doing that, get a few more games this
season”, Weimann was quoted as saying to the media.
The 21-year-old, who has thus far represented Villa in only 22 Premier League games, went on to reveal that his hard work in the training session rewarded him game time against Norwich City in the Capital One Cup quarter-final.
The Austrian international netted a brace to help his side cruise to a comfortable 1-4 victory over the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Canaries-c38723, and seal their progression to the semi-finals of the competition.
“I’ve worked hard in training and luckily I came on against Norwich. It was good to get the goals and get through”, Weimann concluded.
The Villans head coach, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paul-c29347 Lambert, has also heaped praise on the 21-year-old’s showing in his side’s 1-4 win over Norwich City on December 11, and has admitted that his side has been performing brightly for the past few weeks.
“We are slowly but surely getting there. The win over Norwich was another building block. For a few weeks now we’ve been playing really, really well. The Norwich victory was a huge win for us. I have every faith in those lads to do everything they can for
the football club”, Lambert said while talking to journalists.
Aston Villa are currently sitting at the 17th spot on the Premier League table, level on points with the 18th placed, Wigan Athletic.
The Villans will lock horns against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 in their upcoming league game at Anfield on December 15. Lambert would be hoping that his side could achieve a good result to better their league standings.
