Question:

Weird (?) RAM problems (screenshot included)

My computer had 512MB of RAM (1x512) and today I added some more,
namely 2x256MB=512MB. The computer booted OK, but I checked and from
the two new sticks only one is recognized.

- BIOS says there's 512MB on slot 1 (the old one) and 256 on slot 3. There should've been also another 256 on #2.

- Windows Hardware info (from control panel) also gives 768MB (bit less actually, coz of shared graphics memory)

The CPU-Z program, however, mentions 1024MB in total, but still reports
no memory in slot #2!!! I can't understand what's wrong..Here's a
screenshot:Both new memories are identical (at least I think so). I tried to swap
them, or even install them on slots 3, 4 (bypassing slot #2), but still
nothing.

Any suggestions? Thanks!
