Question

How come humans only eat certain types of animals? LIKE>

EX: Pig, Cow, Fish, Chicken, Duck Exc.

Y don't humans try to eat these types of animals?

EX: Zebra, giraffe, dolphins, lions,gorilla, rynos ,exc.

Humans have never been able to domesticate zebras, lions, giraffes, dolphins, gorillas.  You need to be able to keep a large stock of "food" animals around to be successful.  Cows are great.  Put up a fence and they'll stay in it.  Come near them and they'll allow you to pet them (not the bulls).  Zebras are incredibly frustrating to work with.  THey just will not trust human beings.  Humans have always wanted to domesticate zebras because they look and act so much like horses.  we don't know why but it never works.

Did you see the movie The Freshman with Matthew Broderick and Marlon Brando?  They answer your question in the movie.

some of the ones you mentioned are endangered species and maybe these animals don't taste good either

It's much easier to say "Honey lets gout for chicken or fish"than it is to say"Let's go out for some dolphin or giraffe"lol.

the animals like pigs, fish, chicken etc.. are REARED by human beings.

reasons:

1. for the taste and nutrients obviously

2. the smaller gestation period of these animals, and hence, in a lesser time span, we are able to get a large number of these animals..

if human beings try to rear these animals, and rear them as "Zebra industry", "gorillaries" etc; they will be able to get only one or two offsprings per year.. and that is economically not sound..

moreover, lions, rhinos etc.. are endangered animals, and their low reproductive capacity has made them to get included in the list of vulnerable species, and even the endangered species!!

harder to catch/expensive to keep. Some meat e.g. mole for example is not good to eat. Even other animals refuse it.
