Question:

Weird White Screen on Dynex 37" 720p LCD Flat-Screen TV?

Up until yesterday, my LCD screen was working fine. I started to notice a little flicker and then suddenly the screen turned white. It isn't completely white, I can see parts of the background, as if the coloring is off or as if the contrast/brightness was set to the max. I checked the settings and put everything into the factory defaults as well as manually tuning them to see if it makes a difference, but it didn't work.

However, my LCD screen is fine whenever I use the input of my PS3 and Xbox360 console. The white screen only appears when I am on cable television, any assistance?

  1. You shouldnt have bought a Dynex (<--WTF?).

The transmitor in the tv must be broken.

    It has to be repaired.

Next time, buy a famous brand TV, such as SONY.

  2. Since your game consoles are fine then I suspect the TV is also OK.

How is your cable hooked up?

If you have a cable box (aka set top box), how is it hooked up?  Thats what I would look at first, the cables between the cable box and the TV.  You might also try rebooting the cable box.
