Weird baby name. your opinion?

Ok, so I am 37 weeks pregnant with my second son and my boyfriend wants to name our son Juice. At first I thought he was joking but turns out he was totally serious. I think it is the most ridiculous name for a baby, and I told him there is no way I'm naming my child that. That started a huge argument and said that i cant give the baby his last name if i don't name him that, or at least have that as his middle name. i asked my mom if i should at least do the middle name thing and she said no way because he will get made fun of. I sorta feel bad because this is his first son and he really wants that name, but then again I'm worried about what other people think. I need some opinions. thanks :)

I think your boyfriend is acting immature. How old is he anyway?

But maybe, just maybe, if he really wants this ridiculous name, you could possibly use it as a middle name?

Tell him you are just not comfortable with itt on theformall birth certificate. Express your concern for his future in school (being mocked) or career (resume being overlooked)

Tell him it makes a great nickname that everyone can use but not formal on paper. It is a strong boy nickname especially in sports. If Dad gives it to him young others will use it, it will stick, and he will be happy.

Compromise. Don't diss name directly, just explain your apprehension in detail for your childs sake

Give your boy a normal name

Tell your boyfriend, that he can call him Juice, You can look into names that start with a J and C, so the nickname make some sense

I went to school with a girl named Shoes(it was her nickname from Shelia hughes).  

If your boy first name start with an J and second with a C, Juice would be a cute nickname

He can have the name, just tell him, the boy gets a normal name too

No offense, but I think it's a really stupid name. Why don't you wait until the baby's born? Maybe a name will come to you when you see your son for the first time. :]

That's a ridiculous name.  Your boyfriend might think it's a cool name, but he's essentially causing his son to be made fun of for the rest of his life.  If he can't get over it, then the maybe the baby doesn't need his last name anyway.  I don't think he can stop you from using his last name though.  Just FYI.

i'm sorry but that is just a horrible name for a child. he will be made fun of and when he is old enough he would probably end up changing his name. my advice to you is to sit down with your boyfriend and try to make a compromise on a name you both want and that sounds right. explain to him how odd of a name that would be for a child. just get it through that head of his! : )

I would tell him NO. How would you/boyfriend feel if that were your own name. Especially with the teasing issue the poor child would never hear the end of it... ohh and you can give your child your b/fs last name even if he doesnt want to its not his choice when your filling out the forms for the birth certificate~

no no no. My opinion is a most DEFINITE  NO!! Oh my God-if that happened, that poor kid....did he give a reason for wanting to name him Juice? Not a good choice.
