Weird bug crawling around my house. What is it?

I have had this bug roaming around my house for quite some time now. It's about an inch long, has a lot of legs, and two huge antennas. It's a brown kind of color and it pretty much lives in my kitchen. I'm not so much afraid of it, but I want to know what it is.

I had those in my house as well. They are called "house centipedes." I assume you're talking about these:

They honestly look more suited for outer space than houses. =D They do have a painful bite, so I wouldn't attempt to play with it ... not that you would ... even I don't mess with those things.
