  1. Are the bugs around the cage or in the cage? Take your hamster out of the cage and scrub it then put clean litter in it and move where you keep your Hamster's cage away from the bugs, you can buy an Insect Spray to kill them. Make sure your hamster is healthy (Energetic, Bright eyes, breathing okay)

  2. They sounds like fruit flies. They may be breeding in your house because there is food or drink since typically, you will get an accumulation of fruit flies when you don't take your garbage out. That may be fruit and veggies you have left too long in the cage, or it might be in your garbage can. If you leave fresh fruit in the cage longer than a couple of hours (and it might be buried in the bedding), you can get these little guys.

You can purchase fruit fly traps but to be honest, the best way to get rid of them and keep them gone is to really police up fresh fruits and veg. For now, clean the hamster cage well.

Any other kinds of bugs that might accumulate on or near a hamster (mites etc.) would not look like little flies.
