What unusual flavor candies have yout tried from around the world? Also mention where you got it.

I bet there are some wacky flavors!

My most unusual candy is "Oyster-flavored" hard candy. I got them at a ocean resort in Japan. They are oyster shaped sugar candy that also taste briny like oysters-wow!

How about in the US-I love "chicken bones" which are a peanut butter filled candy roll (crunchy on the outside), It's like biting into a real chicken bone-crazy if you think about it!

How about for you?

  3. Ripe tamarind, made into candy by soaking in cane sugar until caramelized. These are sold in the Philipines wrapped in cellophane, with stem and seeds still attached! Good sweet-sour sensation.

  4. liqour filled candy and cakes-germany

  5. Black pepper candy from Sabah, Malaysia.

It was surprisingly very fresh, minty & nice.

I thought it's going to burn my throat when I took it as I was having sore throat at that time. Instead it soothes my throat & decrease the cough.

Others I've tried was bbq pork jerky candy from China/Taiwan (can't remember), it's like chewing gum.

Gingseng honey bee candy from Taiwan (the taste was something I can't get used to it) & I think there were bits of insects & honey wax in it. LOL coz. there were crunchy bits.

Other candies were real original fruit candies like honeydew, pineapple & etc. can even bite the real fruits inside from Japan.

Home made banana candy, papaya candy & some other local Malaysian candy taste like chocolate caramel but kinda chewy it's nice. But can't find much of it.

But the most unique would be termite Queen dibbled or flavoured in honey & chocolate. My friend bought it either from Thailand or some where. I didn't eat it coz. it's very costly. The sight of it makes me faint!

  7. The most exotic candy I've ever had were the ones filled with brandy and other alcoholic beverages. :(

I got to eat buffalo, ostrich, aligator, bear, snapping turtle and some kind of snake too... but that's meat. Care to change your question to reflect my answer? :)
