Weird characters...?

How do I get those weird characters? Like instead of 'a', you could have 'α'.

  1. Vista Home Basic

    Add the Greek language to your keyboard.  It looks like alpha.  ÃƒÂŽÃ‚±ÃŽÂ±ÃŽÂ±ÃŽÂ±ÃŽÂ±

    ςερρτυθασδφγ  or some other languages ØÆÅ Norwegian. Or the Cyrillic alphabet йцукенгшфываЙЦУКНГШЩФЫВАРОЛДЮ.

    Once you've activated the languages on your PC, letters come up next to the time on the task bar, so the right hand end of my task bar looks like this

    EN < 01:48

    when I have it set for English, and

    EL < 01:49

    when it is set for Greek.

    Click on the letters, a menu pops up, choose your language, and that's it.

    First thing to do is - Start - Control Panel - Clock, language, region - Change keyboards.  Then add whatever keyboards you want from the list.
