Okay, so my female mouse keeps making a wierd chatttering noise and everytime I go to look at what she is doing, she stops. She always does it sometime early in the morning like around 3:30 am. I know shes not bitting on something because she's sitting in a small tube. I was wondering if someone could tell me what this could possibly be that she is doing.

  1. rats and mouse will make weird little clicking and chittering noises to themselves. I notice my mice do it a lot when they groom themselves. Its just a little squeaking thing, nothing to worry about. The reason she probably does it at 3am and more at night is because rats and mice and most rodents are nocternal, so during the day she is sleeping, but at night she is much more likely to be awake and running around grooming herself and such

  2. My hamster does that too! It means they're content basically. Happy and content.
