I got my tooth pulled about 2 months ago and just a few weeks ago i noticed a small white dot... and the days went by i relized it was a piece of a tooth and it began popping out of the side of my gums... my adult tooth is already grown in so what could this be? how can i take care of it at home?

  1. Hey there,

This small piece of "tooth" is probably a root or bone fragment that was left at the time of extraction.  Like a splinter, it has worked its way out of your gum and is now exposed.  It needs to be removed.  If you can do it at home, more power to you.  Otherwise, you might have to check with your dentist.  He/she can pop it out usually quite easily for you.

Best of luck to you. ;-)

  2. OMG! i have the same thing. there is like a little white dot on my gum. and it almost feels like the end of a tooth!

  3. wisdom tooth?

you may have to get it pulled

  4. which tooth was it that got pulled.  If it was the wisdom tooth, than chances are that the oral surgeon did not take out the entire tooth, because it was sitting on a nerve.  In the case the risk is too high and they decide to leave a bit of the tooth in and take most of it out...
