Weird dizzy spells?

I have these weird dizzy spells, if I'm sitting or laying down, watching TV, reading, or on the computer, I'll stand up, walk a little bit, and then a weird kaleidoscope of green and purple will come over my vision and I'll be really dizzy. What are these and how can I stop them? I'm about 100 pounds and 5'1. Thanks!

  1. I sometime have weird spells like that to. Usually when I have not eaten in a while and after bathing. It was called by high blood pressure, which was called by stress and the stress was caused by bulling and social anxiety.

  2. Look up "Orthostatic Hypotension" on google.

  3. I have the same thing, went to the doctor, and he said its normal it will go away in a couple of YEARS

  5. It could happen if you are anemic, your blood pressure is too low, or if you stand up quickly among other things. You should probably go to the doctor and get some bloodwork done to find out the definite cause.

  8. I have orthostatic hypotension really bad.  Initially i couldn't even sit up!  i am taking fludrocortisone now and I am doing great!  Definitely go to your doctor and ask about orthostatic hypotension and things you can do to help.  Also make sure that you test for underlying causes.  When did the dizzy spells start?
