Weird dream about a dead friend

My friend died last year in an accident and every so often i dream about him. Last night i dreamed that i was trying to get a hold of him, i was asking everyone for his number so i could call him. In my dream he wasn't dead yet, but i knew he was dying soon and i wanted to contact him before he did. And i was getting upset because nobody knew his number so i could call. what does this mean?
