what does it mean when you dream about an ex?

in my dream he was a soldier and I was so worried about him.

I woke up so changed I felt no affection for my current bf - and he was right next to me.

am I just bored of my current relationship, are dreams to be ignored.....or should I take a hint?

it means u miss ur ex. I miss mine, but  sometimes you got to keep moving on. For example my ex ignores my emails.

It sounds like the relationship between you and your ex ended abruptly. I would suggest it isn't important unless you still have feelings for him.

It might be your subconscious trying to tell you things. Honestly, that's what it sounds like to me. It could be just a dream though, and I would never follow a dream to make a real decision. You need to decide for yourself what the best route would be.

dreams aren't really important or should have anything to do with choice that you make in life but to help understand completelyly what you are feeling and don't try to make sense of it if you ate before you went to bed. Most likely what you did that day or how you feel. it could be that you are the soldier because you moved forward and you are worried about him because you are scared that you meant hurt his feeling or that he still have feeling for you and that whole weird feeling is maybe because you had a dream about your ex.

I'm not a psychologist, but i have been dreaming vividly from as young as i can remember and i believe its your brain still ticking over, i think your dream is trying to tell you something that only you know, it sounds to me if your going to leave your new boyfriend for a dream, which may or may not mean anything, you must still be in love with your ex go back to him!!

Dreams can mean whatever you want it to mean. It's better to focus on the way you feel awake then it is so analyze a random impulse conjured up by your brain. I mean, he was your ex boyfriend and you did have strong feelings for him at one point, so it was you just living in dream moment when he was the only thing in your life. You're not with him anymore for a reason. Whether you're bored with your current relationship should be your call.

i have dreams like that all the time or ill dream about some random guy and then when i wake up having feelings for him its so weird i tried acting on it once and it only left me upset i dont recommend it but if your ex deserves another chance and if you have no feelings for your current boyfriend then take the chance but try not to get to atached.

Maybe it does mean you have feelings for your ex.  But it could also mean that you are comparing your ex with your current boyfriend and finding your current boyfriend wanting.  Or perhaps it's just one of those things.  I dream strange things - when I do dream - and I don't usually pay them any attention.  However I do find strange feelings following dreams, and these often pass.

My fiancee refers to them as being the brain's "defrag" process running overnight, which sounds quite apt to me.
